We decided the stock location of a woods was suitable for the type of horror film we want to shoot as we would quite like to do the slasher/stalker sub-genre of horror. We are thinking of using it along with other locations such as derelict ruins for our production.

Group: Production Log - Wilderness Woods
Whilst at Wilderness Wood, we learnt a lot about the production of our horror film. We realised that filming a continuity piece requires a lot of the same shots to be taken but from different angles. We also learnt that filming certain angles proves a lot more difficult than we thought, for example when we tried to film a 360 pan, it was hard to position the camera in the right place and keep it still to get an effective shot. Shots we found effective were extreme close up of a phone, the tracking shot and POV shots. The variety of shots we used made our piece interesting to watch. We will mostly likely use these in our final production.
